Learn strategies to create acceptance and sanctuary for refugees at Greenwich University. Workshop by Moses Seitler (Refugee Education UK)

Refugee Week How to build a culture

The workshop will focus on how to build a culture of acceptance and sanctuary for refugees at Greenwich University, such that students from a forced migration background feel safe to share their experience and access appropriate support. We will explore different strategies that education institutions take to engender this environment, the resilience required from refugees to step up, and what university staff need to know about the new asylum legislation and it’s potential impact on the wellbeing and education of young refugees.

The workshop will be delivered by Moses Seitler, Youth Advocacy Manager at Refugee Education UK, and Arooba Hameed, one of REUK’s Youth Advocates, a recent graduate of Bristol University and the Founder of Aspiring Dreams CIC.
