Join us at the UOG for an inclusive session on an intergenerational perspective of force migration, specially designed for Refugee Week.

Refugee Week How to build a culture

Hannah Warsame, a Greenwich alumna, will deliver a captivating personal account of her experience as part of a Somali family. Hannah’s narrative will offer a perspective on the challenges, resilience, and triumphs experienced by individuals forced to leave Somalia and seek refuge elsewhere. Additionally, there will be a separate segment during the presentation that focuses on forced migration in Palestine. Another alumna of Palestinian extraction will provide an intergenerational view, highlighting the historical and ongoing struggles faced by Palestinian refugees and their descendants. This dual approach aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of forced migration from different regions and foster empathy, awareness, and support for refugees from both Somalia and Palestine
