This year, Refugee Week is about the theme of Healing. The Greenwich Borough of Sanctuary network is marking this important occasion with events across the Borough.
Tuesday 21st June
Day of Creativity and Healing
10.30am to 4pm | Woolwich Common Community Centre | Protein
Join Protein in a day celebrating the LRMN Migrant Hub Community with a dance workshop at 11.30am alongside yoga, boxing, jewellery making and a free lunch (no booking required).
Thursday 23rd June
Voices of Sanctuary: What’s the pathway towards a borough of sanctuary?
3pm-4:30pm | National Maritime Museum | Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network
An interactive discussion around a new report that captures the experiences of hundreds of people from a migrant, asylum seeker, or refugee background in Greenwich. Join us to hear more about building Greenwich into a healing place where everyone can thrive. Register here.
Saturday 25th June
There and Here – A Celebration
11am to 2pm | Woolwich Works | Protein
A special event featuring the premiere of a documentary film about our performance project with refugees and asylum seekers earlier this year. There will also be artist and refugee-led craft workshops and dance and music activities with a free buffet lunch.
